An art exhibition showcasing work from 17 artists has opened at a gallery in Newport.
Quay Arts is hosting the 'Portfolio' exhibition, featuring a variety of art forms, including painting, print, drawing, textiles, ceramics, bookbinding and sculpture.
All artists involved in the exhibition have taught on Quay Arts' 30-week-long Portfolio Preparation Course, devised and developed by professional artist Nick Martin.
The course helps individuals refine their artistic skills, build an impressive portfolio of work, and develop critical thinking under the guidance of professional artists and makers.
The exhibition displays recent works by the course tutors, demonstrating the strength of their practice and how this might inspire future students.
Quay Arts visual arts manager Ian Whitmore said: "As co-curators and exhibitors alike, Nick Martin and I are super pleased with Portfolio, which functions as a quality group show and advert for the Portfolio long format course, beginning March 2025.
"Portfolio presents work by many of the course tutors, displaying handmade works traversing a huge range of media, providing an opportunity to see work by some of the best Isle of Wight based artists in a single location."
The artists featured in the exhibition include Mandy Bangerter, Marius von Brasch, Marion Brandis, Helen Goodman, Barbara Gowan and Jeremy Gully.
The exhibition runs until November 23.
