Isle of Wight ferry firm Wightlink is warning of changes to the way customers enter one of its ports as major works get underway.
From Monday, November 4, to Monday, December 16, the cross-Solent operator says it is carrying out major works to the entrance of its Portsmouth Gunwharf car ferry port.
The entrance will be closed during this period while the road surface is replaced, which means changes to the way customers enter the port with their vehicles.
Other motorists may also be affected if they park regularly at the port.
“Please make sure you’ve booked your sailing in advance,” said a spokesperson for Wightlink.
“Instead of using the port entrance, customers are asked to check in at the Gunwharf Road car park.
“Once checked in, you may need to wait in the car park. Please turn off your engine while you wait.
“When ready, a member of our team will direct you to enter the port via the exit.”
