Popular Isle of Wight attraction Amazon World has confirmed one of its runaway raccoons has been caught, but the search continues for the other three.
Yesterday (Friday), the Newchurch site revealed four raccoons taken on by the zoo park around three weeks ago had escaped from their enclosure overnight.
Members of the public were warned not to approach the raccoons, as while they are not normally aggressive, but they will be scared.
At around 11am last night, one of the raccoons was caught and is now back in an enclosure with one of her siblings that didn’t abscond.

“Staff monitored and tracked the raccoons through the night.
“The two that were spotted onsite have now gone into hiding during the day, and therefore, we have scaled back the search team and we will regroup again at 4.30pm.
“Special thanks to TrackADog team who helped us last night with the search.
“A huge thank you to all the staff who worked late, worked through the night, and came in early this morning to help.
“We thank you for all your support and kind words at this time.”
