A renowned Irish folk singer and an acclaimed musician are set to perform in Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Heidi Talbot, who has been performing professionally for nearly 20 years, will be joined by Boo Hewerdine at the Quay Arts Centre.

They will take to the stage on Saturday, November 16, at 8pm.

Both artists have a well-established history of collaboration, dating back to Talbot's first solo tour of the UK in 2005.

Her latest album, Sing it for a Lifetime, was recorded during lockdown and features contributions from musicians across several time zones.

Known for her unique style, Talbot has shared the stage and recorded with notable artists such as Mark Knopfler, Graham Coxon, Idlewild, Tim O'Brien, and Jerry Douglas.

She has also been nominated for folk singer of the year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and the Irish Music Awards.

Boo Hewerdine, a long-time collaborator, is an Ivor Novello award-nominated singer-songwriter.

He has performed with and written songs for Chris Difford, kd lang, Duke Special, and Eddi Reader.

Hewerdine is sought after as a musician, songwriter, producer, teacher, and live concert performer.
