FOR the second time this week, the timetable for an Isle of Wight train service has been affected due to one of its employees being taken ill.
Island Line has posted on Twitter X this morning (Sunday, October 27) that trains may be "cancelled, delayed or revised".
"Due to a member of train crew being taken ill, between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin, fewer trains are able to run because of this problem."

Train services running to and from Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin stations will be reduced to an hourly service, rather than half hourly.
Disruption is expected to continue until 11am this morning, then from the start of service tomorrow (Monday, October 28), until about 2pm.
On Friday morning (October 25), Island Line services, between Shanklin and Ryde Esplanade, were also forced to run hourly in both directions, rather than half-hourly, due to illness to a crew member.

Island Line tickets will be accepted, at no extra cost, on Southern Vectis routes 2 and 3, between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin.
The company said: "For further information or onward travel advice, please speak to a member of staff, or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
