A nature-focused initiative has become a Community Interest Company, opening the door to more funding and wider community engagement.
Forever Wild at Heart, founded six years ago by Lizzie Boynton, will now be able to offer more nature-based sessions to Isle of Wight residents.
After completing Forest School training in 2017, Lizzie began offering outdoor sessions, which started as small Friday gatherings and grew into a variety of programmes.
She will be joined by Sarah Moore and Chloe Cave as directors. Sarah Moore is the founder of Sarah's Socials, while Chloe Cave is from Carrying and Cloth. Both bring experience in community work.
Lizzie said: "At Forever Wild at Heart, we believe that time spent in nature is essential for mental health and wellbeing.
"This transition to a CIC means we can strengthen our commitment to serving the local community, offering more opportunities for people to connect with nature in meaningful ways.
"I’m thrilled to have Sarah and Chloe on board to help us grow and reach even more people."
As a Community Interest Company, Forever Wild at Heart aims to expand its programmes and keep them accessible to everyone on the Island.
