An Isle of Wight marching band has been hailed as the most entertaining at a carnival.
Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band performed at Shaftesbury Carnival on Saturday, September 28.
They competed against other local bands in a parade for a variety of trophies, delivering a 12-minute performance for the judges and audience.
During the performance, the glockenspiel section played a lively and fast rendition of the can-can.
Following this, the band entertained the crowds with a marching display and a variety of music.
The band then joined the main carnival parade, where it was awarded both the most entertaining band and the best overall band titles.
The band will keep the trophies for a year before returning them at the 2025 carnival.
The band is open to new members aged eight and above.
A spokesperson for the Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band said: "Well done to all the members of the band."
People can follow the band on its Facebook page or email the band on vcodmb@hotmail.com for more information on how to join.
