AN ISLE of Wight man accused of biting a shop assistant's thumb so hard, his victim thought it had been bitten off or broken, will stand trial in May next year.
George James Swain, 25, of Mary Rose Avenue, Wootton Bridge, denied inflicting actual bodily harm against a shop worker, on January 28.
He appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 18.
The 25-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial at the same venue on May 14 next year.
