A man in his 50s allegedly used a bladed weapon to maliciously wound another man in a pub on the Isle of Wight.
Jason Stevenson, of John Street in Ryde, attended the IW Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 15.
The 54-year-old is charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
In the dock, Mr Stevenson confirmed his name, age and address but did not enter a plea.
On March 24 at The Three Bishops pub in Brighstone, Mr Stevenson is alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously wounded a man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
It is said that Mr Stevenson used a blade to attack the man.
Magistrates denied jurisdiction of the case, and Mr Stevenson will appear before a crown court judge for a plea and trial preparation hearing on November 18.
Mr Stevenson was granted bail with conditions, and he must not enter Brighstone until proceedings have concluded.
