Police have released an update following reports of an alleged 'altercation' involving four males on the Isle of Wight earlier this month.
As previously reported by the County Press, Hampshire and IW Constabulary were called to St John's Road in Newport at around 6.20pm on Monday, October 7.
The force had been alerted to reports of an 'altercation' between four males, with one man allegedly using a bag to hit the other men.

Initially, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and was later bailed until January 8, pending further enquiries.
A police spokesperson has confirmed today (Wednesday, October 16) that the man who was arrested and bailed has been released.
Following an investigation into the incident, the spokesperson added that no further action would be taken.
