There will be changes to Wightlink’s vehicle ferry sailings to Portsmouth due to road closures in the city centre for the annual Great South Run.

Two sailings from Fishbourne will be diverted to the Portsmouth International Port (PIP), beyond the historical dockyard and where the Brittany Ferries cast off.

A spokesperson for the ferry operator said: “No foot passengers will be carried on the sailings to and from PIP, and customers are advised there may be security checks at PIP.”

Drivers planning to take the 10am Portsmouth to Fishbourne sailing must arrive before 9.30am to avoid road closures.

The four crossings between 10am and 1pm will start or finish at PIP.

These crossings will take one hour.
