A popular Isle of Wight holiday park says it is working to support police following an incident that reportedly involved armed officers.
Emergency teams descended on Thorness Bay Holiday Park during the early hours of this morning (Saturday, October 12).
It is understood that investigations are ongoing into what has been described as an ‘isolated incident’ at the tourist destination.
A witness reported seeing multiple ambulance teams alongside police crews and armed officers.

A spokesperson for Thorness Bay Holiday Park said: “We are working to support police with their investigations after an isolated incident.
“As those investigations are ongoing, we can’t comment further.”
Parkdean Resorts, which runs the Thorness, confirmed that the park remains open.
The nature of the incident is currently unknown, but the County Press has reached out to Hampshire and IW Constabulary for further comment.
