Police have released an update following a serious incident at a house on the Isle of Wight on Thursday (October 10).
As previously reported, Hampshire and IW Constabulary received reports of an assault at an address on Jellicoe Road in Binstead at around 10.30am.
At the scene, a 32-year-old man from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm (ABH) and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
A spokesperson for the force said he has been released on police bail until January 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, Ryan Hopewell, 24, of Jellicoe Road, Binstead, has been charged with causing GBH with intent.
Mr Hopewell will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court today (Saturday, October 12).
