A CARE home on the Isle of Wight has been recognised for its 'outstanding' end-of-life care.
Solent Grange Nursing Home, in Wootton Bridge, has been awarded the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Care Homes Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award.
The award was presented at the GSF annual conference and awards ceremony, held recently at BMA House in London.

This places Solent Grange among the best in end-of-life care in the country.
The nursing home provides residential, nursing and dementia care.
The home's manager, Alison Gray, was delighted with the accolade.
"Introducing GSF to Solent Grange has been a fantastic experience. It has really helped shape the culture of the team — and our approach — to everyday living for our residents," she said.
"We’re excited to continue striving for improvements, and demonstrate that living in a care home can be a fulfilling experience for residents and their loved ones."

The GSF is a UK charity, with more than 25 years' experience as a leading training provider for end-of-life care employees.
Their programme aims to enhance end-of-life care by ensuring all caregivers meet GSF standards.
To add to the celebrations, Solent Grange has also been shortlisted in several categories for this year’s Great British Care Awards, including the Care Employer Award and the Care Team Award.
