An Isle of Wight charity concert has raised £850.
The event took place at Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge, on October 5.
The Phoenix Choir performed in aid of the church's Stonework Restoration Appeal and the installation of a kitchenette.
The audience responded enthusiastically to the wide variety of music genres within the evening’s programme, which included songs from popular films and musicals, as well as folk and pop music.
In addition to the songs sung solely by the choir, there were seven soloists who also all received loud applause.
The soloists were Jan Merwood (Caledonia), Alistair Drain (I’ll See You In My Dreams), Pat Attrill (Sweet Dreams), Paul Stevens (Bring Him Home), Ian Attrill (Distant Drums), Gwen Stevens (Thank You For The Music), and Elizabeth Habens (Pie Jesu).
It was the choir’s last charity concert of the 2024 season.
However, there is an opportunity to see them perform with Russell Watson on November 28 at All Saints Church, Ryde.
