Fairlee Road has now reopened after a crash caused significant delays this morning (Thursday October 10).
Emergency services attended the crash near the Racecourse roundabout which involved a white BMW.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle has been recovered.
Police said: "We were called at 11:09am today with reports of a single vehicle collision on Racecourse in Newport.
"No injuries were reported and the road has now reopened."
