A popular Isle of Wight destination will hold a family Halloween event during October half term.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway in Havenstreet is holding Wizard Week from Saturday October 26 to Saturday November 1.
Steam trains will run every day during the event.
Staff and volunteers will dress up the trains and stations in a special theme.
At the main station, visitors will be able to meet the friendly witches of Havenstreet.
Greg Chapman will tell spooky stories in the station yard and there will be free magic shows from friendly wizard Professor Crump in the Barn Cafe.
Marc Morgan-Huws, Isle of Wight Steam Railway chief executive, said: “Wizard Week is always a great occasion at the steam railway and we have made an extra effort this year to make it a truly special experience.”
Isle of Wight Steam Railway's flagship locomotive Calbourne is back on the tracks after having new tyres fitted.
Calbourne began life in the Nine Elms engineering works in London and then moved to Fratton and Exeter.
She was passed into the ownership of the Southern Railway in 1923, before moving to the Isle of Wight in 1925.
Calbourne was last taken off the tracks for maintenance in 2020 and returned to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for the railway’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.
