There are long delays on a main road heading in and out of Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
Three-way temporary traffic lights have been installed on Binstead Road, near Brookfield Gardens and the mini roundabout at the Ringwood Road junction.
It is necessary to allow Southern Gas Networks (SGN) to carry out utility repair and maintenance works.
For traffic heading into Ryde, traffic is queued on Binstead Hill.

In the other direction, leaving Ryde, traffic is as far back as Treefields.
Works are scheduled to last until October 16, but could be finished earlier.
