A ‘free-spirited’ Isle of Wight woman, who breached her community notice three times in less than two weeks, has been given another chance by magistrates.
Amber Banham-Gage, of George Street in Ryde, attended the IW Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 1, and pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to comply with a community protection notice.
Lauren McConnell, prosecuting, said the 22-year-old was handed a 12-month community protection notice following ‘several issues’ in December and January.
Ms McConnell told the court that the notice stated that Banham-Gage could not be in the company of four individuals and could not attend a property on Ryde Esplanade.

On June 24, she was spotted passing Superdrug in Newport in a group which included one of the restricted individuals, the court heard.
Later, on July 6 and 7, Banham-Gage was caught at the restricted property twice, said Ms McConnell.
Magistrates heard that Banham-Gage has had three convictions for 23 offences between April and June this year.
Oscar Vincent, defending, said his client is vulnerable and has a small social group.
Mr Vincent told the court Banham-Gage has not breached the notice since the July offences.
A representative of the probation service described Banham-Gage as ‘free-spirited’ but said she struggles to understand the importance of the community order.
Magistrates handed Banham-Gage a four-month conditional discharge but ordered her to pay £85 in costs and a £26 surcharge.
