A new, all-day fitness and wellbeing event is heading to the Isle of Wight this October.
The Vision Fitness Summit at GG’s Restaurant and Bar in Newport will bring together Island practitioners and instructors for a full day of activities.
All profits from the event, on October 12, go to the Island Sports Alliance CIC, which has been set up to provide sporting opportunities to disadvantaged young Islanders.
Yvette Currie, co-organiser with Ali Hinde, said: “We are very passionate about fitness and wellbeing and really wanted to bring an event like this to the Island.
“We want to help the Island get healthy. We have some amazing practitioners here, and this is an opportunity to bring them together to offer something for everyone.
“The programme has been shaped around offering masculine and feminine sessions and we really believe there are so many people out there who would benefit from this, so please come along and be part of it.”
Tickets are available on Eventbrite here.
High impact workouts include dance-themed classes, plus Rockbox, martial arts, MMA and CrossFit, while yoga, Pilates, Thai Chi, Barre and a sound bath will be available in the low impact area.
Opportunities to discover sports massage, physiotherapy, nutrition, skin care and integrative breathing will also be available, with 17 instructors and 13 wellbeing practitioners involved.
The daytime fitness and wellbeing activities will be followed by a party night, which will include a DJ set and an ABBA tribute by Divalicious.
