An Isle of Wight punk duo have released a new single.

The Pill released their second single, Scaffolding Man on Thursday (October 3).

The duo, consisting of Lottie Massey on bass and vocals and Lily Hutchings on guitar and backing vocals, have performed across Europe this summer.

Scaffolding Man was recorded at Newport's Empire Studios, and is described as a love song with attitude based on a true story about not shutting the curtains while taking a bath.

Rufus Reader joins the duo on drums for the track.

The Pill have seen success with their debut single, Bale of Hay, receiving airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X.

The duo performed a homecoming show at the Isle of Wight Festival in June, drawing crowds to the River Stage.

The band are due to perform at festivals in Glasgow, Brighton, Bristol and Leeds in the coming months, as well as a slot supporting Shelf Lives at the Moth Club in London.

The Pill said: “We’ve been really lucky to play in Europe over the summer, and have definitely had to pinch ourselves with how things are going!

“October is going to be a busy month for us and we’re super excited to be playing around the UK.

“We really hope you like our second single, Scaffolding Man, and would just like to say how thankful we are for all the support."
