A historic Isle of Wight building will become a fairy tale tower during half term.

Appley Tower will host a children's experience during October half term, running from Monday October 21 to Sunday November 3.

The experience includes a story telling and activity in the tower by one of the Appley Fairies.

Seven sessions will be hosted a day, with each tour having space for five children and one free parent per child.

Each session will last approximately 45 minutes.

Guests can book online via the Monkton Arts website.

Appley Tower has recently reopened to the public.

The project was part funded by Natural Enterprise, as well as the National Heritage Fund, Ryde Town Council and the Isle of Wight Council.

Brian Friend, chair of Natural Enterprise, said: "We have been working with partners since 2018 to arrive at this point. We are delighted Appley Tower is now fully restored and will be returned to community use.

"I’m pleased Natural Enterprise has led this work and that we have accomplished what we set out to achieve.

"Our thanks are extended to all the people who have supported us and have helped to make it a real success story."
