Hundreds flocked to the Isle of Wight law courts this Saturday for a special event.
An open day at the Quay Street venue, which ran between 10am and 4pm, gave visitors the chance to step inside the storied building and see how the justice system works on the Island.
Police were joined by criminal justice partners including the Crown Prosecution Service for a packed-out programme which included a series of mock trials, a chance to meet police dogs, a tour of the cells, and the opportunity to learn about the Devil and the law.
Judges, the court team, and all its exhibitors contributed to a special event which saw a steady stream of visitors filter through the venue’s imposing double-doors, to be greeted by security guards and learn exactly how justice works.
People of all ages were welcome, and here, we have a gallery of photos from a memorable day.
