ONE OF the busiest roads on the Isle of Wight will close overnight for roadworks.
Newport High Street, between its junctions with Quay Street and Coppins Bridge, will shut during utility works, between 7pm today (Tuesday, October 1) and 6.30am tomorrow (Wednesday), or when the works have been completed, say Island Roads.

An alternative route will be signposted locally.
