WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:

NEWCHURCH: Langbridge will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Mersley Lane and Old School Lane, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Also, Knighton Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Mersley Lane and Knighton Shute, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

And Winford Road will close during drainage excavation and investigative repair works, between its junctions with Watery Lane and Harbors Lake Lane, over five shifts, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, October 4.

RYDE: Partlands Avenue will shut during carriageway repair works, from its junction with Pellhurst Road for 140m in an easterly direction, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

ALVERSTONE: Main Road will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Brading Footpath 52 and Brading Footpath 54, over one shift, sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

NEWPORT: Albany Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Banner Lane and Worsley Road, over one shift, sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

Also, Sandy Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Blackwater Hollow and Sandy Close, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Tuesday.

And Whitepit Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Castle Road and Chandler Close, between 8am on Tuesday and 6pm on Thursday.

BINSTEAD: Parkway will close during kerb repair works, between its junctions with The Mall and Coniston Avenue, over two shifts, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, October 4.

WROXALL: Redhill Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Godshill Footpath 43, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, October 4.

NITON: Church Street will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday, October 16.

Also, Blackgang Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Church Street and Star Inn Road, and between its junctions with Blackgang Old Road and Church Street, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday, October 16.

In addition, Star Inn Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Blackgang Road ad Church Street, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday, October 16.

GURNARD: Marsh Road will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 9am on Wednesday until 6pm on Friday, October 4.

GODSHILL: Merstone Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Newlands and Chapel Lane, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, November 1.

ROOKLEY: Niton Road will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Bagwich Lane and Harts Lane, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday.

WOOTTON: Station Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Packsfield Lane and Gravel Pit Road, from 9am on Thursday until 5pm on Friday, October 4.

CHALE: Emmett Hill will shut during utility works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday.

TOTLAND: Uplands Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with The Avenue and The Mall, from 6.30pm on Monday until 6am on Wednesday, October 9.

Also, Weston Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with St Saviours Road and Hurst Hill, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday.

SHALFLEET: Church Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 6pm on Tuesday until 11pm on Friday, October 4.

VENTNOR: Hambrough Road will close during utility works, from its junction with Church Road to a point 50m south thereof, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, October 4.
