AN ISLE of Wight man arrested as part of an investigation into a serious incident at a popular Isle of Wight seafront pub has been bailed until December, police have confirmed.
On Saturday, September 21, officers were called to Ryde Esplanade following a report of an assault at The Veteran public house.
Police were told, following a verbal altercation between a group of people, a woman in her 30s was hit in the face with a glass.
The woman's injuries are not thought to be serious and a man in his 70s also suffered minor injuries to his arm during the ensuing melee.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man from Ryde on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault and possession of cannabis.
He has since been bailed until December 22.
