A BUSY thoroughfare through one of the Isle of Wight's biggest town centres, is set to close for roadworks next week.
Island Roads has said it is necessary to allow for the closure of Cross Street in Ryde, along its entire length, for utility works.

The works will commence at 7am on Monday (September 23) and continue through to 4pm on Friday, September 27, or when the works have been completed.
An alternative route will be signposted locally.
