A software company has launched a sponsorship for a charity that trains assistance dogs.

ICRTouch, based in Sandown, has begun an ongoing sponsorship of Ability Dogs 4 Young People, which provides assistance dogs to young people.

The dogs are trained to support young people in a variety of situations, including diabetes, epilepsy, anxiety, and phobias.

ICRTouch has donated £1,000 and is providing ongoing software services to support the charity's operations.

Members of the ICRTouch team visited the Ability Dogs 4 Young People training centre to learn more about the charity's work and meet the dogs in training.

CTO of ICRTouch, James Johnson, said: "Giving back to our local community is a big part of our ethos and it was great to see first-hand the incredible work that the team at Ability Dogs 4 Young People do.

"We’re delighted to extend this ongoing support."
