Southern Vectis is offering half-price travel for World Car Free Day.
The bus operator hopes the initiative on Sunday, September 22, will encourage more people to use sustainable transport.
Those using the Southern Vectis app can download a special 24-hour Rover ticket and travel across the Isle of Wight.
World Car Free Day aims to ease congestion and improve air quality by promoting mass transit, cycling, and walking.
Andrew Wickham, Southern Vectis managing director, said: "At Southern Vectis, we welcome any initiative designed to reduce the harmful effects exhaust emissions have on the environment.
"In recent years, we have invested millions of pounds in a new fleet of buses to operate our services across the island.
"Our newest vehicles sport the very latest Euro 6 engine - releasing fewer emissions than the average new diesel car."
The company is set to welcome 22 electric buses in 2026 as part of a partnership with the Isle of Wight Council and funding from the Government’s Zero Emission Bus Regional Area 2 (ZEBRA 2) scheme.
Mr Wickham added: "Our team is hoping local people downloading our app will take advantage of the chance to travel all day for half price on Sunday - particularly those who may otherwise use their cars."
