A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will bring the sounds of San Francisco to the Isle of Wight next month.

Greg Douglass, best known as the former guitarist with the Steve Miller Band, will perform at Freshwater’s Dimbola on Sunday, October 6.

Greg played with the Take the Money and Run hitmakers from 1977 to 1980, notably penning the hit single, Jungle Love.

Greg also contributed to songs on the Steve Miller Band’s 1982 album, Abracadabra.

In 2016, Greg was inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Steve Miller.

Greg also played guitar with the late Greg Kihn, whose song Jeopardy reached number 2 in the US charts.

The Dimbola concert promises hits including The Joker and Fly Like an Eagle.

Joining Greg on stage will be Rob Beckinsale on keyboard, Steve Browning on bass and Chris Hughes on drums, all of whom performed at Dimbola with Country Joe and the Fish’s Barry Melton earlier this year.
