A torch-lit procession is set to bring festive cheer to Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
The Mediaeval Baebes will lead the Lighting of the Chalice procession to All Saints Church on Saturday, December 7.
Concert-goers are invited to join in with the festivities, bringing drums, lanterns, or dressing up to enhance the illuminated parade.
The evening, dubbed 'The Ceremony', promises a blend of music, dance, and theatre.
The Mediaeval Baebes, known for their harmonious vocals and unique collection of exotic and period instruments, will perform carols, traditional folk songs, and settings of ancient romantic poetry.
The folklore behind the chalice, songs, and lyrics will be revealed in storytelling segments.
The concert will also feature the Mediaeval Baebes' new compositions.
The concert will take place at All Saints Church, Ryde, and tickets are available from mediaevalbaebes.com, priced at £28.50 for adults and £13 for children.
The Mediaeval Baebes are a renowned female-led early music and folk ensemble, having released 11 studio albums and winning an Ivor Novella Award for their performance on the BBC serialisation The Virgin Queen.
They have also received two Emmy nominations and a Royal Television Society award.
In 2023, their collaboration with Orbital's Ringa Ringa reached number six in the album charts.
