An Island road will have temporary traffic lights as play equipment is delivered.

Godshill's School Road, between the Church Hill and Church Hollow junctions, will see delays on Monday (September 16).

Temporary traffic lights coming into effect at 7.30am, and are expected to remain in place for four to five hours.

The delays are due to a delivery of play equipment to Central Mead where an inclusive play park will be built, featuring the Island's first public wheelchair accessible swing.

The equipment will be delivered by articulated lorries and other vehicles.

In a statement, project founder of Godshill Play Park Project said: "It's been a nine year labour of love project.

Thanks to an incredible anonymous donor, along with support from the local and Island community, we are finally close to crossing the finish line!"
