An Island Conservative Club is closing its doors.

East Cowes Conservative Club, on Clarence Road, will have its final evening before shutting on Friday (September 13).

In a statement to the County Press, the committee said: "The club is closing its doors for the final time on Friday night.

"Unfortunately, keeping the club open wasn’t financially viable anymore with rising overheads.

"It was a decision that wasn’t taken lightly.

"We would like to thank all the members and staff for their support over the years."
