An Island man will walk 20 miles with his son for charity in December.
Chris Cowdrey, who works in the sales department at the County Press, will complete a 20 mile hike with his 13 year old son Devlin.
The pair will walk from Cowes to Newport, then through Sandown to Shanklin, before finishing up near Godshill.
The walk is in aid of the UK Sepsis Trust, following Chris spending three weeks in hospital with the condition in 2019.
The pair have a JustGiving page.
Chris and Devlin have been preparing for the walk by completing 10,000 steps a day five days a week and documenting their progress on TikTok.
The UK Sepsis Trust aims to raise public awareness about sepsis, and works to support anyone affected by the condition.
Chris highlights that while he physically recovered from sepsis in a matter of weeks, his mental recovery is taking much longer, experiencing night terrors and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Chris and Devlin have taken 'before' photos, and hope to take 'after' photos following the completion of the challenge in December.
