A main Isle of Wight Road has been closed by police this evening (Monday, September 9) following reports of a collision.
Emergency services are at the scene on the main road between Blackwater and Rookley.
The incident has happened on Blackwater Hollow (A3020).
The road has been closed from Highwood Lane in Rookley to Blackwater junction on the outskirts of Newport.
Drivers are being diverted via Merstone in both directions.
UPDATE (8.10pm)
A police officer at the scene confirmed to the County Press that the incident is a road traffic collision.
The collision happened on the hill near Blackwater Mill Residential Home.
Recovery of the vehicle is ongoing, with the closure expected to last no longer than one hour.

The County Press understands that the road has now been reopened.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has been contacted for further comment.
