A ROAD constantly at risk of being flooded whenever the Isle of Wight is hit by heavy rain, has been closed by Island Roads.
Island Roads has closed Collingwood Road in Shanklin town centre, amid heavy and persistent rainfall on the Isle of Wight today (Thursday, September 5).
Collingwood Road has closed several times in recent years due to flooding, which has affected properties along it.
The organisation has also put out flood warning signs on Whitwell Road, Ventnor, which, at present, remains "passable with care".
Two weather warnings are in force for the Island.
