Isle of Wight ferry firm Red Funnel has announced a new batch of cancellations on its vehicle ferry route for tomorrow (Thursday, September 5).

The cross-Solent operator said the disruption is due to the ongoing technical issue with Red Eagle's Voith unit.

The issue has caused several cancellations on the East Cowes to Southampton route in the past few days.

The following Red Funnel sailings have been cancelled:

  • From Southampton: 5am, 8am, 11am and 2pm.
  • From East Cowes: 6.30am, 9.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm.

A total of 11 sailings were cancelled on Wednesday (September 4) and four on Tuesday (September 3) due to the same Voith unit problem.

Red Funnel said it apologies for any inconvenience caused.
