WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:
NEWPORT: Fieldfare Road will shut during iron repair work, between its junctions with Linnet Close and The Finches, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Also, Froglands Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Newport Footpath 88 and Newport Bridleway 101, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Cooper Road will shut during footway repair works, between its junctions with Cook Avenue and Cooper Path, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Clarence Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Medina Avenue and York Road, from 9am on Monday until 6pm on Wednesday.
Pan Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Godric Road and Home Meade, between 8am on Monday and 5pm on Friday, September 13.
NITON: Institute Hill will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with School Lane and Glen Approach, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
BRIGHSTONE: Moor Lane will shut during a CCTV survey, between its junctions with Main Road and Brighstone Footpath 64, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, September 13.
NEWCHURCH: Borthwood Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Newchurch Footpaths 22 and 52, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, September 13.
RYDE: Weeks Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Longmead Road and Alfred Street, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, September 13.
Also, Salisbury Road will close during utility works, along its entire length, between 9am on Tuesday and 5pm on Saturday, September 14.
FRESHWATER: Heathfield Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with St Andrews Way and Silcombe Lane, between 8.30am and 3.30pm on Thursday.
LAKE: Longwood Lane will shut because of a mobile crane being in situ, between its junctions with Sandown and Shanklin Bridleway 47 and the Sandown to Newport cycle track, between 9am on Wednesday and 5pm on Saturday, September 14.
YARMOUTH: Thorley Street will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Tattles Lane and Thorley Road, between 8am on Wednesday and 6am on Friday, September 27.
