Ten sailings have been cancelled on Red Funnel's car ferry service tomorrow (Wednesday, September 4), the Isle of Wight ferry firm has said.
A familiar technical issue with one of the cross-Solent operator's vessels is to blame.
A problem has occurred with the Voith unit on the company's Red Eagle car ferry, which operates between East Cowes and Southampton.
Due to the issue, Red Funnel has confirmed that ten scheduled sailings have been cancelled tomorrow:
- From Southampton: 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm and 5pm.
- From East Cowes: 6.30am, 9.30am, 12.30pm, 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

The ferry operator previously cancelled four sailings earlier today and is running with 45-minute delays on some of this evening's sailings.
Red Eagle also experienced issues with its Voith unit last month (August), as previously reported.
The Voith unit is a key component within the vessel’s forward propeller system.
