After a two year hiatus, a popular Isle of Wight event and horror experience is returning for 2024.

Park of the Dead, which first started in 2012, will be back in November to 'unlock a night of terror'.

Few details have been released so far but organisers have teased the event name, Asylum Island.

Prior to a break, Park of the Dead had been scaring the pants off Islanders for ten years.

The events are interactive and see actors play all manner of horror characters, from zombies to ghosts.

When the curtain fell on the 2022 production, organisers had said creative juices were already flowing for a whole new experience – perhaps in a different location, and even greater than the last.

Previous events have been held on the grounds of Puckpool Park, Ryde.

It's unclear whether this year's scare fest will also take place there.

Tickets for Asylum Island go on sale on September 27.

The event will be held on the nights of November 1 and 2.
