When you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Here is a list of just some roadworks and associated closures: 

CHALE: Appleford Road, from its junction with Godshill Bridleway 13, and its junction with Chale Byway 32A, will be closed from Monday, until Friday, September 27, or when the works have been completed, for bridge maintenance.

NEWPORT: Pan Lane, from its junction with Godric Road to its junction with Home Meade, will be closed for two shifts between Monday and Wednesday for tree works.

VENTNOR: Alpine Road will be closed for one shift between Monday and Wednesday for carriageway repair works.

BRADING: Harding Shute, from its junction with Brading Bridleway to its junction with Beaper Shute, for one shift between Monday and Wednesday for carriageway repair works.

TOTLAND: Weston Lane, from its junction with Weston Manor Drive to its junction with Summers Lane, will be closed for one shift between Monday and Tuesday for carriageway repair works.

NEWPORT: Downend Road for its entire length will close for one shift between Wednesday and Friday for drainage and gully works.

ALVERSTONE: Main Road, from its junction with Kern Lane to its junction with Upper Road, will close for one shift between Wednesday and Friday for carriageway repair works.

FRESHWATER: Wilmingham Lane, from its junction with Newport Road to its junction with Freshwater Bridleway 25, will close for one shift between Wednesday and Friday for carriageway repair works.

WOOTTON: Station Road, from its junction with Glendale Close, to its junction with Gravel Pit Road, will close for one shift between Wednesday and Friday for safety during ironwork repair works.

NEWPORT: Burnt House Lane, between its junctions with Pan Lane and Arreton Bridleway 45, will close between 7am and 4pm on Tuesday, for utility works.

NEWPORT: Calbourne Road and Carisbrooke High Street will close for utility works from 9.30am on Tuesday until 3.30pm on Thursday, or when the works have been completed. This affects the area near Alvington Road.

SEAVIEW: Salterns Road, between its junctions with Fairy Road and Bluett Avenue, will close from 9am on Wednesday until 3.30pm on Thursday for utility works.

RYDE: Simeon Street will be closed between its junctions with Marymead Close and Monkton Street from 9am on Monday until 5pm on Tuesday for utility works.

NEWPORT: Whitehouse Road, will be closed between its junctions with Colemans Lane and Forest Road from 9am on Monday until 6pm on Thursday or when the utility works have been completed.

HAVENSTREET: Church Road will be closed between its junctions with Main Road and Pondcast Lane for utility works between 8am Tuesday until 4pm on Friday. 

NITON: Rectory Road, will be closed between its junctions with Laceys Lane and High Street from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Thursday for utility works.

NEWPORT: Pan Lane will be closed between its junctions with Godric Road and Home Meade from 8am on Tuesday until 6pm on Friday for utility works.
