An Island home care provider has come under new ownership.

Bluebird Care Isle of Wight, founded ten years ago, has been taken on by couple Jon and Night Murray-Walker.

They will lead the 80-strong care team in caring for people in the comfort of their own homes.

Jon, originally from Lymington, is excited to bring his local knowledge to the business.

He has 20 years' worth of experience in business management in the care landscape on the Island.

Jon is joined by his wife, Night, who has 20 years of experience in the care sector and expertise in care leadership.

One of the couple's first decisions since taking over has been to broaden the scope of care to those recovering from injuries or living with physical or mental health conditions.

The business is also looking for new care experts to join the team.

On his new role, Jon said: "I am excited to work with our fantastic team to make sure that everyone across the island has access to really tailored high-quality premium care whenever they need it.

"Community is everything to us, and I feel honoured to lead the incredible Bluebird Care Isle of Wight team as we support people across the Island to live well at home.

"Ultimately, when an Isle of Wight resident needs care and support, we are here to walk that journey with them whenever they might need it."

Night said: "Our goal is to offer the highest possible standard of care while ensuring our team feels valued and supported.

"We couldn’t have wished for a better team of care experts to work with, and it has been a real joy receiving so many wonderful comments from our customers, thanking our team for the fantastic job they do, day in and day out.”

Bluebird Care Isle of Wight is part of the national Bluebird Care franchise network of home care businesses.

Founded in 2013, the Isle of Wight franchise is based in Newport and supports people with care at home across the whole Island.
