Ryde Pier will be closed from 8pm overnight on September 5.

Island Roads announced today (Tuesday) that it will carry out maintenance works to the pier entrance, affecting access to ferry services, between September 2 and September 5.

On the first three nights, access to the pier will be maintained under temporary traffic lights.

Users of the Wightlink service are advised to allow more time for their journeys up and down the pier.

On the last night of work, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic, so passengers will have to either use the train services or travel along the pier by foot for the last three Wightlink services of the day.

Island Roads' work comes immediately before Network Rail maintenance work, which will see train services suspended from September 6 until May 2025.
