SIX Isle of Wight teenagers performed at the Mayflower Theatre at the weekend – taking part in its summer youth project of Bugsy Malone.

All six - members of Island-based Performing Arts Academy Curtain Call Creative - auditioned back in March, alongside hundreds of others, and were successful in securing places, with four being offered major roles.

Tom Thorne played Bugsy Malone, while Ava Cowen played Tallulah, Alfie Luke played Knuckles, George Sales played Captain Smolskey, and Ellen Careless and Miles Harvey were part of the ensemble.

An incredible experience for them all, they had a wonderful two weeks working on the project with industry professionals and performing at the iconic venue.
