Rescue teams are responding to a distress call from a yacht in trouble off the Isle of Wight this morning (Thursday).
HM Coastguard was alerted to St Catherine’s Head at around 9.15am.
A sailing vessel suffered engine difficulties, a spokesperson confirmed.
Bembridge RNLI was tasked, alongside three nearby vessels who responded to the distress call.
The sailing vessel is currently being towed to a safe port in the Solent.
