There are cancellations on Red Funnel's Red Jet service this morning (Thursday).

The Isle of Wight ferry firm is blaming a technical issue with the cooling system on the port generator on Red Jet 7.

The 8.25am sailing from Cowes is off, while the 9am from Southampton is delayed by 30 minutes.

A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience to your journey."

It is another day of disruption on the cross-Solent operators.

Wightlink has also had to cancel an early morning sailing.
