There is yet more disruption for passengers travelling on an Isle of Wight ferry tonight (Monday).

Following a day of disruption on Wightlink's Yarmouth to Lymington route, it is now the turn of Red Funnel.

The cross-Solent operator has cancelled its 7pm and 10pm sailings from Southampton, as well as its 8.30pm and 11.30pm crossings from Cowes.

A technical issue with the Aft engine on the Red Eagle vessel is being blamed.

There was also disruption over the weekend and at one stage, the company gave four different reasons for delays to its services.

On tonight's cancellations, a spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience."

Meanwhile, Wightlink's Yarmouth to Lymington route is still running with cancellations and delays.

It follows a medical incident this morning.
