An Isle of Wight drug driver was caught after an anonymous caller alerted police to a late-night crash.
Nicholas Barton, of Avenue Road, Sandown, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Friday, August 16.
The 34-year-old admitted drug driving in Sandown, on Yaverland Road, on March 6.
Prosecutor, Liz Miller, said at around 10.20pm, police received an anonymous call alerting them to a road traffic incident.
She said they located the vehicle on its side. Barton admitted to being the driver, and told officers his girlfriend had been a passenger.
The court heard he registered a reading of 2.3 for cannabis when the specified limit is 2.
Jim Osborne, defending, said Barton had been using cannabis to cope with depression and anxiety, but since the offence he was doing well and was free of drugs.
Mr Osborne said Barton had been marginally over the limit but deeply regretted his decision on the night.
Barton saw his case adjourned to October 25 so a pre-sentence report could be drawn up.
He was granted unconditional bail and made subject of an interim driving ban.
