A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening another man with a knife at a popular Isle of Wight tourist destination.
It was reported that, between 4pm and 4.30pm on Friday, August 2, a 41-year-old man was threatened by a man with a knife near the long-stay car park on Afton Road.
No one was physically harmed in this incident, said police.
A 27-year-old man from Freshwater has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon.
He remains in custody at this time.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said: "We are aware that there may have been people filming the incident on their phones and would like to speak to anyone with possible evidence.
