AN ITINERANT Isle of Wight man accused of violence against emergency workers and shop theft, appeared before Portsmouth magistrates.
Jake Dunkling, 35, of no fixed address, faced charges of shoplifting £349.97 worth of clothing from Mountain Warehouse, Newport, on July 11, together with common assault of an emergency worker and assaulting an emergency worker, by beating, both on Friday (August 9).
He was arrested that day and brought before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court yesterday (Saturday, August 10).
The 35-year-old was remanded in custody to reappear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates on Wednesday (August 14).
